Eye-line match is when we see the women playing the piano look at the puppet police fighting the puppet black males and we are then shown the fighting after we see a reaction shot which captures her reaction to the violence which we could infer as in shock due to her gobsmacked facial expression and sort of trying to avoid the violence by going into a sort of ducking position which connotes fear towards the violence and she would be gobsmacked because she appears privileged due to her expensive looking costume and wouldn't be used to violence because of her privileges. [The points from Miss Represented will help] The functions of the tide advert is to persuade women when they are doing there cleaning that they she buy the product tide to help clean as their soap instead of any other soap. which refers to in the 1940s women were portrayed in the media as inferior to men and were made to stay at home and clean. 1.       Are there any elements of coherence in the narrative? (Potential theories/ideas to use: Todorov and Postmodernism)  The music video shows no coherence in the narrative and doesn't relate to Todorov's theory due there being no clear narative and things like the setting is left a mystery and scenes have no sort of relation at all which relates to having a disjointed narrative the idea of thing being left in simulation (make belief)  2.       What ‘message’ does the video contains?
