People fear investment in new and independent productions so funding can be very difficult In the UK the biggest funders are the BFI who wish to grow film talents in the UK. I ndependent films in majority tend to fail, or if they succeed it is then unlikely the creators will produce again. Hollywood wants to invest in the UK due to tax rebates so films are subsidised. There are over 700 films a year made in the UK. Getting films financed is harder than ever. It is a challenge even to find a way to distribute a film. Even with the best story without the right people, e.g. actors, directors, producers, a film can fail. Women only contribute to 22% of jobs in the film industry. Cinemas will show whatever sells. Majorie Ferguson's Theory. Th e ferguson theory states that woman always have to be better looking more beautiful by using the tools that the media directly provides them with. An example of this theory being shown in the "sunsational sultans" advert is the image of the female surfer but we know surfing to be a difficult heavy sport, but they portray the woman to be doing it with ease holding a plate of fruits looking good while she is doing it, which the audience could infer the advert is portraying that woman should look good at all times.

Whose idea was the film? Straight Outta Compton is a 2015 American biographical film directed by F. Gary Gray, depicting the career of gangsta rap group N.W.A.  Did the idea start with the writer, or were writers brought in to develop a preconceived idea?  The writers were brought in to develop a preconceived idea because it is said to be biographical film about the NWA which include members:  Ice Cube,  Dr. Dre,  Eazy-E,  MC Ren,  DJ Yella,  The D.O.C. and  Arabian Prince.  Where did the idea come from? Was it an original idea, or perhaps a book first, or TV series, or comic strip, or from some other source? The idea of the film came from Dr Dre, Ice Cube and Eazy-E's widow Tomica Woods-Wright.
