Steve Neale Genre Theory: The idea that genres a run by repetition, but are also marked by difference, variation and change.  Genres change as they borrow from other genre and overlap from each other. The idea than genres list within specific economic, institutional and industrial contexts. WHAT IS POST-MODERNISM Post-modernism can be described as a style and a concept in the arts characterised by a distrust of theories and ideologies and by the drawing of attention to conventions.  1. What is a hybrid media text? Mixing of existing genres with each other e.g. sci-fi and comedy. 2. What is meant by Bricolage?  The emergence of different aspects to create a finished product.  3. What is meant by simulation? CGI, mimicking reality, embedding itself with live action fantasy.  4. What is a disjointed narrative structure? Narrative of the story doesn't follow the normal structured pattern for example starting at the end and working your way backwards.  5. Beyonce Formation Feminist?

The definition of feminism is the advocacy of women's rights on the ground of the equality of the sexes. We can argue that in Beyonce Formation we hear the intro of  “Booking the Hoes from New Wildin'.” The video was originally uploaded with reference to the New Orleans comedy show “New Wildin’s.” Barre is better known by his social media handle Messy Mya. Messy Mya is a New Orleans native, who was tragically gunned down and killed when he was leaving his girlfriend’s baby shower in New Orleans' 7th Ward in 2010 and in Formation into we here Beyonce say: “What happened at the New Wil’ins?” which queries Messy Mya death, which BeyoncĂ© encourages us to hear as a question about the comedian’s unsolved murder as well as a question about the city and black folks and the South: “What happened after New Orleans?” This shows to us that she isn't a feminist as we see her bringing up a tragic incident on a black male and we can argue she is fighting for race more than gende
